Thanksgiving!!

After we had all stuffed ourselves we relaxed at our house. Since my parents and younger sister Erin weren't with us we took some time to do a little face time on my brother in laws computer. The kids gathered all around and yelled there favorite foods and things they had done that day. It was adorable and chaotic and I am sure my parents loved to see all the grand-kids. We missed them and hope they will be down next year.

Joe carving the bird. This was a huge turkey, defiantly the biggest I've ever made. Handsome and helpful. :)

Of course what is Thanksgiving without a little pie. I was so full by that point that I only had a small sliver. It was delicious and worth all the pregnancy heartburn that followed.

Here are most of the fun cousins eating pizza the night before Thanksgiving.

* note Hyrum's blanket wrapped around his shoulders... and the animal carcass by me... nothing like an animal carcass to make you feel the Thanksgiving spirit. :)

Thanksgiving!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. Five of my six siblings came with there families as well as my Aunt Deena. It was a blast. The cousins ran around, the football was on, and the food was so yummy!
My sister Emily and her husband Matt came a few days before and we had such a fun time with them. We drove out to the middle of nowhere and shot clay pigeons. The guys loved it.

The kids came home from school one day and made it a personal goal to rake all the leaves in the front yard. It took two blissful hours. They had so much fun raking and jumping in this huge pile.

Hyrum walked out of kindergarten with this adorable spider hat. I love it!!

We had a great Halloween holiday. Hyrum was Davey Crockett, Jace wanted to be a knight, and Bekah was a hula dancer. We had a carnival with some close friends and the kids had a blast. They had doughnuts on a string, decorating pumpkins, a cake walk, ghost bowling, ghost ghost witch, and tons of food. It was really fun to watch the kids in their costumes.

Jace and Hyrum lost teeth on the same day.

BOWLING
We took the kids bowling a few weeks ago and they loved it. I'm not going to bore you with numbers but I played my best game ever... Joe only won because i was feeling kind that day. :) as a side note, i might have played with the kid bumpers up.
Behind again...

Does anyone else feel continually behind? It's probably just me. :) As always the excuse is a busy couple of weeks. After a few months of Joe commuting back and forth from Idaho Falls to Rexburg, we decided to make life easier and make the move to Rexburg. Joe and I have moved many times in our 8 years of marriage... this is lucky number 16.... somehow it is a lot of work no matter how many times you do it. This time i had the added pleasure of finding a new school for the boys, mid school year. We had a place all picked out and the packing started, the kids registered and set to start and it fell through the week before we planned to move in. I quickly found a different place and then had to register the kids at a different school. We ended up moving the day before Hyrum's birthday, and two days before Halloween. We are finally in and settled and the kids are adjusting to new teachers and friends. Phew!!!! A little break before it is time to prepare for baby.

We had an early fall snow storm and the kids spent the day outside making a snow fort. Which allowed me to get a lot of packing out of the way. :)

Baby Number 4!!!!!!!

That's right friends!! Baby number four is on the way. We could not be more excited. I am about 14 weeks and due on March 9. We waited to tell the kids until after my first doctors appointment so I was able to show them pictures. They were jumping up and down and kept asking to see my stomach. The next Sunday was fast Sunday and in primary they asked if anyone wanted to come up and share something that they knew was true. Jace goes up and says, " I know there is a baby in my moms tummy and I know it is a boy." So much for keeping that secret. We are so happy and looking forward to a new little addition.

Uncle Scott

My awesome younger brother Scott is going to be living with us for the fall semester of school at BYU-Idaho. We are so excited to have him staying. He makes everything a little happier and a little funnier. He will be taking Joe's Anatomy class this semester and I think it will be fun for them. Here he is with some of the nieces and nephews.

Back to school

I cannot believe it's time for school. This year Jace starts 1st grade and Hyrum starts kindergarten. They were so excited and eager to set out clothes and get backpacks all packed with school supplies. I walked the kids to school and they both looked so grown up and ready to start. I was holding strong dropping off Jace, but I got emotional watching Hyrum find his seat and put his bag away. I finally had to leave so he wouldn't see me weeping like a baby. I am so proud of these boys! On the way home from dropping the boys off Bekah says, " Now it's just you and me Mom." So cute.

A Little Backyard football

There is nothing like watching Joe and the kids play football in the backyard. They have such a good time. The kids wait for him and when he walks in they run and get the football.
